We said goodbye to two absolute DB OG icons last month 😭😭😭
First up, the awesome Chelsea. Early DB regulars will remember Chelsea from behind the bar with her super friendly speedy service and passion for beer. Over time Chelsea transitioned into a brewery assistant role and worked her way up to being a fully qualified brewer. From mammoth canning runs to crazy imperial stout brew days Chelsea’s always turned up the energy!
We will hugely miss Chelsea’s passion, enthusiasm and bantz - nothing quite like it! We all wish her best of luck as she transitions into a new career as a mental health nurse. 👩⚕️↗️
Secondly, Shaun.
There is so much to say about Shaun that could never fit into a social post. For those of you that don’t know him, Shaun was the very first DB team member, joining us before our doors even opened nearly 8 years ago.
Initially Shaun helped us with a bit of everything - kegging, canning, whatever came up he put his hands to it.
As the team grew Shaun transitioned into being our Head of Maintenance, getting tasked with fixing all the random bits that came up on the daily.
But more than that Shaun was just an amazing chap to have around the place. A friendly, cheerful soul that was always there to listen and help and crack on with the little but important jobs. Tell a story, and eat some crisps.
I think he brightened everyone in the teams day up, I know he certainly brightened up mine.
We wish him all the good wishes in the world as he heads off to enjoy a very well deserved, proper retirement 🏍️🐝
These two have stuck with us on the up hill struggles and never ending rollercoaster that DB has been since we started. We are super chuffed they are off to forge new exciting paths ⭐️
We are hugely grateful for their time, efforts and just general all round goodness - they will always be a part of the team ♥️
