🎉 WOW… WHAT A DAY! 🎉

We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for making The Butchers Arms’ 1st Anniversary Party such an incredible success! ❤️

We welcomed SO many new and familiar faces, and the turnout was way beyond anything we expected. Seeing the pub, garden and marquees absolutely packed with people celebrating with us was amazing.

🎶 A HUGE thank you to all of our acts for getting the party started and keeping it going! You were absolutely brilliant and helped make the day what it was.

❤️ To my staff......you are all fantastic. You worked your socks off, kept smiling through the absolute madness and completely smashed it. I’m incredibly lucky to have such a brilliant team around me.

🔥 Karen, Nikki, Molly & Rosie...... you absolutely SMASHED the BBQ! The amount of food you got out was incredible. Thank you for working so hard and keeping everyone fed!

🥰 To our family and friends who travelled from near and far to celebrate with us, and to everyone who sent us cards, messages and good wishes.......THANK YOU. Your support means more than you know.

And finally, I couldn't finish this post without mentioning those who doubted us, criticised us, talked about us and waited for us to fail...

Sorry to disappoint you. 😉

You gave us plenty of reasons to prove you wrong ....so we did.

Despite the negativity, the rumours, the challenges and everything thrown our way, yesterday we celebrated ONE WHOLE YEAR at The Butchers Arms surrounded by an incredible number of people who chose to come out and support us.

And THAT speaks louder than any gossip ever could.

We came. We stayed. We did it. 🍻

Now bring on YEAR TWO..... because we're only just getting started! ❤️

And to every single customer who has supported us, visited us, recommended us, shared our posts or simply popped in for a pint over the last 12 months...

Cups will cost £2 each, helping us speed up service across both bars, reduce waste AND raise money for Veterans In Action. 🇬🇧

And of course, the cup is yours to keep as a little souvenir of our first anniversary! ❤️

As many of you know, we are a military family, with Paul having proudly served 27 years in the Royal Engineers, so supporting the veteran community means an enormous amount to us.

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has messaged, checked in and sent their well wishes. ❤️

I am truly overwhelmed by the kindness we've been shown. The sense of community around us is absolutely wonderful, and I don't think you always realise just how special it is until you need it.

The help we've been offered by our locals has honestly meant the world........from keeping Flo occupied while I was having my surgery, to supporting Paul and my parents while I've been out of action, and even people offering to pop in and cover the odd shift here and there to help keep things ticking over.

Every message, every offer of help, every "do you need anything?" and every little act of kindness has been noticed and appreciated more than I can put into words.

We may have only been here for nearly a year, but you've made us feel like we're very much part of this community.

From me, Paul, Flo and my family........thank you. ❤️

You really are a wonderful bunch, and we're incredibly lucky to have you around us.

Now I just need to behave myself, recover properly and resist the temptation to start interfering at the pub before I'm supposed to! 😂❤️
