Soft play got built this week and we’re so excited to share a little sneak peek!

We officially open on 6th July and can’t wait to welcome you all.

With the weather heating up, we’ll be serving refreshing iced coffees as well as your favourite hot drinks ☕🧊 Alongside our drinks, we’ll also have a selection of cakes and snacks available.

And don’t forget… we’ve got air conditioning! If you’re looking for a cool, comfortable play cafe to escape the heat, Sanctuary is the place to be this summer 💛

🌈 We’re thinking of introducing a weekly SEN Play Session at Sanctuary Play Cafe! 🌈

A calm, welcoming session for children aged 0-5 years, with lower noise levels, sensory play opportunities, and a safe space to explore, play and connect 💛

We’re considering Wednesday or Sunday time slots:

🕤 Wednesday: 9:30am - 11:00am
🕦 Wednesday: 11:30am - 1:00pm
🕤 Sunday: 09:30am - 11:00am

A few months ago, we set out with a simple idea: to create a space that local families in Rayleigh would love to visit and spend time in.

That idea became .

As a family-focused business in the heart of Rayleigh, our goal is to provide a calm, welcoming environment where little ones can play, learn and explore, while parents and carers can enjoy a great coffee, relax and connect with others in the community.

At Sanctuary, we’re passionate about bringing local families together. Supporting other local businesses is also incredibly important to us, which is why we’ll be partnering with local suppliers for our coffee and sweet treats, while also supporting children’s charities wherever we can.

As we grow, feedback from our community will play a huge part in shaping what we do. We want Sanctuary to be a space that evolves alongside the families who use it.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve already received. Before opening our doors, we’ve sold over 400 tickets across play sessions and private parties, and the response has been beyond anything we expected.

Thank you to everyone who has booked, followed our journey and shared their excitement with us so far.

Our bespoke bench seating in Sanctuary is now in place, and the flooring has been fully laid too 🙌🏻

We’re on the home stretch now, just a few final paint touch-ups to complete before the soft play installation begins.

Who likes our new tiles? 👀✨

Everything has gone into this design and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited about how it’s all coming together. The flooring goes in next week, the kitchen is being finished off, and then it’s the final touches before the big one - SOFT PLAY installation in just 3 weeks! 🙌🏻

Since launching bookings at 6pm on Thursday, we’ve already sold well over 300 tickets and we’re completely blown away.

Sanctuary is proudly family-run, and seeing our community get behind us like this truly means the world. We honestly can’t thank you enough for all the love and support so far.
