New flavours at this week’s Country Market have a definite Summer feel - anyone fancy coconut and lime cake or a Summer berry loaf cake? 🥥🍋‍🟩🍓🫐🍪

We have our delicious oat syrup cookies back on sale as well as a range of Rayleigh-grown plants including herbs, veg, tomatoes and flowers - something for every garden, big or small. 🍀🌸🥒🍅🌿

Our Cafe will also be open serving hot drinks and a choice of homemade cake - a perfect pit stop if you’re popping in to the market in town.

We’re feeling crafty this week at Rayleigh Country Market with this super cute hand knitted caterpillar 🐛 and the return of the wooden interlocking cuddling cats - this time in a choice of mahogany or classic pine 🌲 😸

Cakes, bakes and curries are freshly made and ready to fill your cake tins and fridges and our friendly Cafe will be open serving delicious homemade cakes, tea and coffee all morning - pop in for a warm welcome 🤗 🍰

Planning to be in town on a Wednesday morning? Rayleigh has loads to offer on market day 😀…

The Country Market is just a short stroll from the high street and as well as selling loads of homemade and hand crafted goodies, our lovely Cafe is open selling tea, coffee and a choice of homemade cakes - a cuppa and a slice for just £3 - a steal!

Everyone is welcome - easy one level access and accessible toilets make us a great choice to meet friends ☕️😀🍰🍪

Thank you to the Rayleigh Town Rangers and Essex Police PCSOs who helped us reunite a lovely lost gentleman with his wife this morning after he found us at the WI Hall.

They worked brilliantly together to bring them back together safely - so good to see the town pulling together so positively.

We’re open this morning with some tasty new bakes and makes - how cute are these hand painted cards and this gorgeous hand knitted baby cardi with train buttons? 🚂

We have a new line of seat belt covers which are perfect if you find the strap irritating and our ‘helping hands’ card holders are ideal if you like playing cards but find holding them tricky.

Our popular tissue pack holders are also back in stock with bright multi colour designs perfect for summer and we have Rayleigh Honey in stock too!

Our cafe is open selling homemade cakes and teas and coffee - today we have iced lemon and Victoria sandwich along with fruit scones on offer which are going down well!

Easter treats at this week’s Country Market - Liz has baked some of her fantastic hot cross buns and very special Simnel cake along with a fresh batch of her insanely good lemon curd 🍋🍋🍋

We’ll have a fresh supply of our popular vegan sweet potato and chickpea curry, vegetable and lentil soup as well as a new trial of super fresh tasting celery soup - the perfect low fat balance to all the Easter treats and chocolate!

We’ll also have some of our award winning marmalades on sale - one of our producers won several categories again at last weekend’s Rayleigh Horticultural Show so we can now officially state they are prize winners and have the trophies to prove it! Lucy won the overall cup for the domestic class which includes categories for cakes, biscuits, chutney and preserves 🏆👏👏

To top it all off we have some super cute new hair accessories for sale - made by the supremely mutlitalented Karen. These dinky little knitted flower elastics make perfect ‘non-chocolate’ Easter gifts and if you would like some in school colours, drop us a message with colour suggestions or pop in and have a chat.

We’re open for tea/coffee and homemade cake from 9am-12pm at the WI Hall every Wednesday - if you’ve never been before, you’ll be made very welcome and feel free to come and browse.

EXTRA Market News…if you can’t wait ‘til Wednesday for your fix of Country Market goodies, we have an extra market this week at the Rayleigh Horticultural Show.

Sunday March 29th (tomorrow) from 2pm at the Mill Hall - come and have a look at the exhibits on show and grab yourself a some homemade cake for tea or top up or your supplies of handmade jam, marmalade, chutney and local Rayleigh honey.

Our craft team will also have a great choice of cards, gifts and treats (how cute are these bunny booties?!) - pop in and say hello and get your fix of locally home grown, homemade goodness!

Our craft team are happy discuss any special orders so if you have a particular gift in mind - be it sewn, knitted, painted or handmade - please pop in and have a chat.

We’ll also have loads of freshly made tasty bakes and makes for sale - from vegan ‘ready meals’ to pasties and pies, breads, crumbles and cakes big and small. Come early for the best choice! 🍰🥮🥧🍪
