🚧⛔️ BANK STREET!! Seems someone has got it in for the small businesses in the UK and it’s apparent even the local Council are jumping on the bandwagon!!
The Council, in there infinite wisdom, have seen fit to come up with a scheme that will rip the heart out of what’s left of the traditional part Rawtenstall town centre and that looks destined to cause chaos and even sound the death knell for some of the small businesses in Bank Street.
As if it wasn’t enough, what with the crippling increase in costs for our business community in Bank Street over the past few years, pavements are to be ripped up, pedestrian access to businesses inhibited and traffic chaos set to even further blight any remaining trading opportunity, for a significant period.
How do we as small business owners even attempt to try and mitigate the damage that all this is going to do?
Fortunately, the traders of Bank Street won’t let them grind us down! We’ll carry on opening up our doors and be as welcoming to our customers, the same as we’ve always been!!
Our plea during this difficult period is, please, please don’t be put off coming to town and doing what you would normally be doing coz without you we may not be here to benefit (🤔) from the enormous amount of YOUR money, the taxpayer, that’s being spent on this scheme!!
Together we can ensure this doesn’t destroy our town!!
