Well that’s us over and out!

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support, custom and friendship over the last five and a half years.

Along with our wonderful team, Ben and I built our business from scratch fuelled by passion and a desire to create a “home from home” for you all. We have loved our time here and hope that we managed to achieve this for a lot of you.

To our wonderful team- you have been a second family to us over the years and we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done.

The tearoom will soon have new tenants - please note that although they have taken our name (after a polite request not to as this is our business), we do not have any connection with them and it is a completely separate company. We wish them all the best in their new venture and hope that they enjoy creating their own business and a special place for you all.

Tomorrow (24th December) is our last ever day open and we are looking forward to seeing you all.

Ben, the team and I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support, custom and friendship the last 5 1/2 years.

Hearing so many of you tell us this last week or so that we are your happy place, your escape and your safe space has been incredibly humbling.

Tomorrow will be hard, and we apologise in advance if we are a little emotional.

We have lots of tables booked, but as always we will do our best to find you a comfy seat and tasty treat if you pop along!

Don’t forget, we are closing at the slightly earlier time of 2pm and will be serving the full menu (breakfast and lunch) all day with no break.

The hardest and saddest post we ever did write.

It is with a heavy heart that we are letting you know that we will be closing on the 24th December for the final time and the tearoom will not be reopening its doors in the new year under our stewardship.

This isn’t a decision which we have taken lightly and is one which the emotion and heartache is still very raw. We are taking a step back from the business so that we can focus on raising our wonderful boys and making life as enjoyable for them as possible where both of their parents are able to be fully present.

We understand this will be upsetting for many of you as well - we are open our usual hours from now until the 24th and hope that you can join us in making these last few weeks some of our best!

Please note, as soon as we made the decision to close - gift vouchers were removed from sale immediately. Those of you with in date, valid vouchers are welcome to use them before we close or they can be exchanged for a full refund.

We are sure the tearoom will live on under a new guise with new owners but at current this is unknown and our focus is ensuring we look after our wonderful staff and suppliers into the early weeks of next year.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks out to our current/past staff, our wonderful supplier base, our friends/families and also you lovely bunch. We are forever in debt to those who have made this journey possible.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to the next 2 weeks being a fantastic closing chapter for us all!

Christmas has arrived! Just in time for our Christmas market on Wednesday.

Free entry with doors opening at 6.30pm. We’ve got some cracking stallholders, most of whom have lovingly made their goods.

We recommend bringing cash as not all stallholders can take card.

As always, we will have mulled drinks and festive treats for you to enjoy too.

As the sun sets on another beautiful day, we are cleaning up and reflecting on a lovely weekend filled with fantastic people.

As a small, family run business your custom really does mean a lot to us, especially during these unsettling times.

Each time you visit, we notice and appreciate it. People aren’t numbers to us which is why we take the time to get to know you. We learn your orders, we remember that you like your coffee extra hot, and only a dash of syrup because things like that are important.

So if you’re debating where to go next, could I suggest that you support local wherever you can?
