The Fromeway We are a family friendly, seventh generation owned local village pub. The Fromeway is a friendly, family run pub in Radstock, near Bath.

We offer delicious and ever changing seasonal menus, quality drinks, friendly vibes and comfortable, contemporary rooms. Food is served daily both in the bar and in the large airy restaurant that overlooks the award winning garden. The menu has something for everyone and contains old favourites such as faggots, sausages and steaks whilst the specials board offers seasonal meat, fish and vegetarian options. The bar has a modern but cosy feel with an interesting collection of old photographs on the walls. If you enjoy a good quality pint of real ale then the Fromeway is the ideal place for you to visit. The pub can be found in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide and has Butcombe bitter and Wadworth’s 6X regularly on offer. A wide selection of guest beers appear on the pumps as well. The Fromeway has a separate room that is always in use for meetings, craft groups and small family parties. The Fromeway also offers quality, affordable accommodation. There are three lovely bedrooms all of which have en-suite, flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi.

Thanks to all our epic quiz teams who made our first quiz of the season last week so much fun, our next quiz night is coming up on Wednesday 21st October and we cannot wait!!!

Alex and Eleasha are cooking up another night of brain puzzling fun, with special Guest Round from last week's losing team...James Bond 🕵‍♀ (did someone say Alex and Eleasha dueting one of the Bond theme songs..?) and of course, there will be the odd Halloween theme here and there for the spooky season 🎃👻

Tables are first come first served, so drop us a DM to secure your team, and don't forget to pop in a bit earlier if you'd like to grab a bite to fuel your brains before the quiz begins, kitchen opens at 5pm!

We're beyond chuffed to say we've been featured in the 2027 issue of CAMRA's Good B**r Guide again, the UK'S best selling guidebook to great pubs that serve top-quality cask b**r 😁🍻

Not only do we pride ourselves on serving quality cask ale to Radstock, we're proud that this is something we've continued for several generations in the Fromeway's history, and long may it continue! We love championing local breweries and giving you all the opportunity to try new and interesting b**r weekly. As of now, we currently have Special Bitter on from Frome Brewery, it's delish!

Are you a school leaver looking for your first kitchen job? Taking a year out before uni? Looking for something that works around family life? Or maybe you’re simply ready for your next kitchen adventure?

We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant / Commis Chef to join our small, friendly and food-loving team.

You’ll start with the essentials - vegetable prep, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and learning the ropes - but there’s plenty of opportunity to learn, grow and get stuck in.

We’re looking for someone who’s keen, reliable, willing to learn and enjoys being part of a team.

And who knows… stick around long enough and you might even be trusted with the secret recipe for our infamous mushy peas.

Experience is not essential, we're more interested in personality and attitude but if you do already have experience, we'd love to hear from you too.

⏰ 18-20 hours a week, for example 3 shifts a week;
Wednesday 9-3pm, Friday 9-3pm and Sunday 11:30-6pm
(there is some flexibility on week days and to work around school hours and the potential for more hours in the future)

💷 Competitive hourly rate dependant on experience (plus an
equal share of tips)

🚗 Must be 17, with own transport

🤩 A good sense of humour and an appreciation of Take That are a bonus

Over the weekend our beloved golden hare seemed to hop out of the bar and into the big wide world without a trace...

So whodunnit then??!! The mystery prevails and we have our best detective on the case (Kath), but we'd love to see Hopper safely returned to his rightful home. 🏠

There will be a handsome reward for his safe return (did someone say ironing and folding the B&B bed linens?!) No questions asked 😉

The sun's gone in and there's a (very) slight chill in the air, so that can only mean one thing...Christmas is approaching!! 🎄💫

Yep, you've read that right and no, it's not too early! We've had a singular drop of rain and temperatures dipping below 30 degrees and it seems we're ready to talk Christmas 🫣

We're busy putting together our 2026 Festive Party menu, so if you'd like to be amongst the first to know when it's finalised, drop us an email on [email protected] or simply comment on this post and we'll give you the first look when it's ready. 🎁

Our bar and restaurant will be closed tomorrow lunchtime whilst we have some new kitchen equipment installed, but don't worry, we'll be open as usual from 5pm for food and drink!

Why not pop in and quench your thirst in the heatwave with an Aperol spritz, or tuck in to one of our Greek-style lamb gyros in the sunshine 🌞

And if it's too hot to eat in, don't forget we're still offering our heatwave takeaways! All you have to do is head online to www.fromeway.co.uk, book a "table" as you normally would for your collection time, pop in the booking notes your order (scroll a few posts back for our takeaway menu), and we'll sort the rest 🍔🥗🍟

If you're anything like us then it's never too hot for a Roast (discuss...)! So we've created a dedicated time slot to Takeaways this Sunday (2 - 2.30pm) so you can enjoy our ever popular Roast in the comfort and, hopefully cool, of your own garden or home.

To book, give us a call, send us a message or book online stating "Takeaway" and your order in the booking notes.

This week our Roasts are:

Roast Topside of Beef
Slow roasted leg of Lamb
Slow roasted Belly Pork with Crackling
Roasted Chicken Supreme with sage and onion stuffing
House Nut Roast

All of the above are served with our epic House Gravy (iykyk) or our rich, vegetable gravy and a generous helping of lovingly prepared seasonal vegetables. We'd also recommend adding a side of our epic Cauli cheese too, you won't regret it.

Alternatively, you can come and eat in as usual and let us look after you in the comfort of our (temporarily) air conditioned restaurant - book online as usual.
