We would just like to thank everyone who attended Cookies funeral yesterday, we gave him the send off he deserved.

It was lovely to see so many people there. A legend through and through and you still managed to make us all laugh even when you’re not here. You will be sadly missed but I have no doubt we will still be sharing memories and stories for years to come. You will never be forgotten.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨BONUS BALL🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

It has come to light that the National Lottery draw, which takes place every Wednesday and Saturday night at 8pm, now has a two-round format. From this week, there is two sets of six main numbers and a bonus ball drawn using two separate machines.

In light of this, for those that have bonus ball number in the pub, I’m looking to get people’s thoughts and comments about how we play this moving forward. So, starting from next week dated 15th June 2026, here are the proposals:

1. We leave as is and take the first draw as the winning number, therefore the 2nd draw the person who has the number doesn’t win anything.

2. We continue at £1 per number a week and split 50/50 between the 2 bonus ball winners.

3. We double the price of the bonus ball to £2 a number therefore enabling both winners to win £50 each.

The option with the most vote will take precedence.

As we wasn’t aware the above was changing this week, the decision is that the bonus ball winner is still 44.

It is with the heaviest of hearts we would like to announce the sad passing of Stephen Cook (Cookie) tonight.

For all that knew Cookie; know what an absolute character and legend he was and will be sadly missed. He was known all over Bramley, once you met him, you certainly never forgot him. Cookie brightened up our day, every day, the laughs we have had over the years will never be forgotten. You was always up for a laugh, usually at his expense😂. The Waggon will never be the same without you “no ice, no slice, no Cookie” .

We will keep everyone updated with funeral arrangements once confirmed.
