The team will be split between Prestwich Clough Day and the The Pearl today (Sunday 17.05) so if sandwiches, community and the outdoors are calling, head to St Mary’s Flower Garden, if cocktails, candles and shelter is more your vibe (let’s hope the rain stays off but it’s always sensible to have a plan B), the bar will be open from 12-7pm. There will be those asking, well can’t I do both? And the answer would be, yes. Much love to for putting on such a great local event and see you down there! x

Jack! Our beloved bartender - and bar back DJ - is regularly given high praise for his excellent playlists during service. I asked him to share 3 songs he goes to for instant ‘mood’…and his favourite tipple of choice from the menu for good measure…

Some Pearl news for the start of the week 📰 If you’re subscribed to the Dining Room Post this will be today’s chip paper, so do keep scrolling.

🍷 We are thrilled to introduce wine pairings to our à la carte menus, expertly curated by sommelier Filippo of . You’re welcome to go by the glass, course by course. Available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

🚜 Head Chef will be doing an Agnolotti demo at festival this Sunday May 3rd at 5pm on the Taste of the North stage. There are still tickets available. The whole team will be there to support Matt so the restaurant will be closed.

🌞 May 17th - put Prestwich Clough Day in your diary - The Pearl will be amongst the bustle at St Mary’s Flower Garden serving Prawn mayo with caviar and Egg mayo with truffle sandwiches plus a few tasty snacks. This is our favourite event of the year, come down and enjoy our eccentric, inclusive community. The bar will be open on this day but the kitchen will be closed 👌🏼

A fitting way to end a nice weekend (oysters, champagne and a piece on France’s Wild West coast for some optimistic holiday planning) plus a well earned plate of Isle of Wight tomatoes with tomato sorbet for our superstar photographer .evans.photo who managed to sneak a shot of the whole team in the final 5 minutes of shooting - a mean feat 1 hour before service 🌟
