Evening

Friday evening and Saturday I’ll be heading over to Preston for the Preston Pub Festival 2026! 🍻

The festival takes place across pubs and bars throughout the city rather than in one single venue, with each place putting on something different across the weekend. There’s a brilliant mix of tap takeovers, special b**r line-ups, food and other events, making it a great excuse to explore Preston’s pub scene.

I’ll be starting on Friday evening with Old Black Bull, PLAU, Black Horse and Chain House Brewing Co. There’s plenty happening along the way too, including “B**r But Not As You Know It” at PLAU, a Green Duck tap takeover at Black Horse and kegs from Kyiv at Chain House.

Saturday will be a much bigger day, with visits planned to The Old Vic, The Continental, Winckley Street Ale House, Plug & Taps, Wings & B**r Co, Bar Pintxos, Orchard, W**edown, Guild Ale House and Moorbrook.

There’s loads happening across those stops, including The Continental going to Ireland, a Beak tap takeover and special pie menu at Winckley Street, “Gone Birding” at Plug & Taps, a Lancaster Brewery tap takeover at Wings & B**r Co, Spanish b**rs and “Pour It High” at Bar Pintxos, a Polish tap takeover at Orchard, W**etober Fest at W**edown, a Harvey’s tap takeover at Guild Ale House and a Nano Brewery Showcase at Moorbrook.

It should be a cracking couple of days exploring Preston, visiting a really varied selection of pubs and getting stuck into everything the festival has going on. If you see me out and about over the weekend, feel free to come over and say hello! 🍺

Courtney is up for Manager Of The Year! She bloody deserves it I tell you! Always putting up with my nonsense, keeping us on an even keel and helping me find the brilliant w**es you love to keep our list mega!!

The ever smiling Sacha is nominated as a Customer Service Legend! Legend is an understatement! Coming in with no hospitality experience Sacha has absolutely smashed her time with us! You would struggle to find anyone friendlier and more willing to make your day! We’re so proud of her!

🍻 FAQ: What is Preston Pub Fest? 🍻

Preston Pub Festival was born when a group of like-minded pub & bar owners got together and discussed how we could promote and celebrate our venues.

We all run very different diverse venues, from traditional pubs to micro bars to brewery taps - but we all have something in common; the love of Preston and the love of the products we sell.

This festival is our chance to promote Preston’s great pub scene and the great variety of b**rs and ciders on offer.

Think along the lines of a b**r festival but rather than being stuck in one place, you’ll get to experience 13 different venues.

There will be a huge range of different b**rs and ciders on offer and each venue will have its own special events. It could be live music, a tap takeover, food offerings or quite simply just a fantastic range of b**rs, ciders & more.

All the venues are within a 15-minute walk of the city centre with great transport links, so you can make sure to visit all of them!

This magnificent beast is an excellent Southport Winter Wh**ky Festival exclusive! 1 of 130 bottles of 11 year old elegance distilled at Braeval and bottled by Thomspon Bros who are based in Dornoch. It brings up some amazing memories visiting Dornoch Castle during a wh**ky trip with the late great wh**ky loving legend, that was Dougie (Dad). He would have loved this one, it’s a proper belter! Get it before it goes! 🥃❤️
