Recently, we told you about our veg patch which from time to time contributes ingredients to our dishes. Coming up in the next week or so we have our salmon and herb quiche which will feature herbs from our garden. We grow quite a selection for a small garden so we thought we'd share them with you and maybe inspire you to try a little 'grow you own'.
Woody and fragrant, perfect with roast lamb, chicken, or scattered over roast potatoes before they go in the oven.
Smaller-leafed and more intense than regular basil, brilliant torn over tomatoes, pasta, or stirred into a homemade pesto.
A classic all-rounder, great in stews, roasts, or tucked under the skin of a roast chicken.
That gorgeous citrussy edge works beautifully with fish, chicken, or stirred into salad dressings.
A must for anything Mediterranean โ pizzas, pasta sauces, roasted veg, or sprinkled over a Greek salad.
Fresh and cooling, lovely with new potatoes, peas, or muddled into a homemade lemonade (or mojito!).
Mild oniony flavour, perfect snipped over jacket potatoes, scrambled eggs, or stirred into soft cheese.
Pick the flowers and dry them for a soothing homemade tea, or use fresh in a relaxing evening infusion.
