With the nation still reeling from last night, we’re acutely aware that the country needs something to believe in again, and that responsibility now falls squarely on us and Friday night’s menu.

So how have we gone about rebuilding national morale? Well... we’ve had a Frenchman devise an Italian menu for the evening. We believe a multicultural approach is the first step in the healing process. That, and the fact it’s 25 degrees and nobody wants a pie.

So this Friday (tomorrow), we’re laying on a sun-drenched Italian feast. Think fresh seafood, classic antipasti, lazy al fresco dining and not a Malbec in sight. 

We’ve also got the brilliant Will Lewis on saxophone from 7pm.

It’s positively glorious out, which means fresh fish and a chilled glass of something cold might just be in order. We’d point you towards our Cornish sardines à la plancha - whole, charred, sharp capers and a squeeze of lemon - alongside a glass of our Albariño from Rías Baixas. Ripe peach, lime, and a clean mineral finish. Summer on a plate.

SEAFOOD FRIDAY RETURNS 🌊☀️

A big weekend of football beckons. We are, of course, aware that any attempts to steal you away from it would be futile. So instead, we’re fuelling the occasion with a pre-match banquet of unmistakable seafood proportions.

You’ll know by now that we aren’t shy of a seafood soirée, but as summer reaches its peak, this Friday we’re doing it with a little Caribbean fire.

And, as if by design, the sun has decided to make its return too-which makes it the perfect moment for cold drinks, seafood, and a proper Friday night feast before the weekend’s main event.

Amidst a flurry of menu changes over recent weeks, we decided our longest-standing menu item - our Suet Pudding - deserved to be evolved, not retired. So, before pandemonium ensues, it’s not gone. It’s better.
