It’s always hard to say goodbye.... (beware...it’s a long one...)
After 5 years since my whole Lillybetts journey began I am handing my little coffee shop over to the beginning of somebody else’s dream.
It’s been a huge rollercoaster of; hard work, determination, great team workers, tears, tantrums, laughter and lots of it! Meeting so many lovely people, making friends, losing customers through illness.
I have met so many characters and given a listening ear which is more to the job than I ever thought. My chapter ends for this part of my life and a new one begins.
Time to lay the gossip to rest (and boy there are plenty of them out there and this is being told from the horses mouth!)
No, my business hasn’t failed, Covid hasn’t destroyed it either, in-fact it has made it flourish since reopening! And why not end on a high?
The Pandemic has made so many changes to so many people’s lives. It makes you reassess and realise what is important. The time is right for me to go. I know some of you won’t want that and so many people love my little cafe.
For the time being I am taking a well deserved break, having a few holidays (when I can!) and being a lady of leisure until I pick up my next challenge which is already in the pipeline... I will be continuing my outside catering and don’t worry if you have something booked in with me, I will still be delivering your order. Lillybetts to your door will hopefully be as successful as Lillybetts cafe!
Time to catch up with everything I’ve put on hold, spend an amazing time with family and friends, have holidays when I want!
It’s actually the best thing I’ve ever done in my life, in terms of discovering who I am and what I am capable of. It’s been a success and my support group have been amazing. Never doubted EVER of what I was capable of and I thank them for this. 💓
I will miss you all. ☺️ (except the rude customers who think it’s ok to speak to you like you’re something off the bottom
of their shoe, or horrid people that write nasty reviews who have never been in the shop and have envy running through their veins, well guess what? I am better than you in so many ways...)
Some of you I will remain in contact with.
I want to wish lots of luck to the new owner. It won’t be Lillybetts anymore 😢 but I’m sure it will have the same success and buzz about the place as when I was there.
To all the negative nelly’s that said
“That place will never work as a cafe” 🙄
I hope you continue your lives with those less than positive vibes which will help you become stuck in your ways. As one of my much loved customers said, who has now sadly passed ‘when are you going to put two fingers up in the window to those that doubted you?’ Sandra here they are ✌🏻 😂
May you all continue to support the little shop on the corner in whatever it may be.
I’ll never be far away as I will always be the landlady 😉 Always available for a coffee and a chat because now I am free for those who need my attention and time and will actually be able to sit and chat rather than wait on for you.
If you would like to say goodbye the shop will be open Wednesday to Saturday until I close which will be the 17th July. I would love to see you all, but please don’t make me cry, I’m such an ugly cryer! 😂😂
Love to you all and Thankyou....

Take care
