We had a WW2 veteran in this week, and we wanted to share our appreciation and thank him for his service publicly;

This is Sergeant Richard Brock; he is 102 years old, named an Honorary Freeman of Lancaster in recognition of his wartime service.

Sergeant Brock was a D-Day Veteran, he is the last surviving WW2 veteran member of the East Lancs Regiment.

He had his 20th birthday crossing over to the beaches of Normandy.

He stopped by on the way home from meeting Viscount Henry Montgomery, 3rd Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, the grandson of Viscount Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery at Fulwood Barracks on Tuesday.
