The Farm Shop is fully restocked with our 100% pasture fed beef!

All of the beef we sell is from our own herd, born and reared right here on our farm in the Forest of Bowland on a 100% pasture fed diet with zero grains or concentrates.

51% is all the grass an animal needs in it's diet to legally be called grass fed in the UK. The other 49% can come from cereals, imported soya or commercial feeds.

🌱 100% pasture fed means something entirely different. Our cows are certified by Pasture for Life as being 100% pasture fed which means every animal in our herd is born and reared right here on our farm in the Forest of Bowland, eating fresh pasture through the summer and our own conserved forage when the cold weather sets in. They grow slowly at a natural pace with no grains or concentrates.

The Farm Shop will be fully restocked this Saturday 5th September with our 100% pasture fed beef including steaks, roasting joints, mince, shin, braising and stewing steak🥩

So many of you have been asking when our 100% pasture fed beef will be back in stock and you don't have too much longer to wait! The Farm Shop will be fully restocked with our beef on Saturday 5th September 🥩

🌱All of the beef we sell is from our own herd, born and reared right here on the fell on a 100% pasture fed diet with zero grains or concentrates.

We will be fully stocked with everything from steaks and slow cooking joints to mince and braising steak, perfect for nutritious autumn dinners.

🛒The Farm Shop is open from 8am until 8pm everyday so you can pop in and stock up whenever is convenient for you.

We have got a bottle problem! 🥛

We have now sent more than 700 of our glass milk bottles out into the world but unfortunately more than half have not made their way back to us for refilling! We now have less than 30 bottles to refill and our next batch of glass bottles has a 6–8 week lead time!

We really do not want to switch to plastic, because reusable glass bottles are an important part of what we are trying to do here so we are going to amend things slightly and see how it goes!

So from tomorrow Friday 21st we are changing how we price the milk:

£3 when you return your empty bottle
£4.50 if you don't return your bottle (when available)

The extra £1.50 is simply a refundable bottle deposit.

If you have got one of our 1 litre raw milk bottles lurking in your cupboard, garage, boot of the car or somewhere you have forgotten about please bring it back, don't put it in your recycling bin! 💚

A little update on our Gelato Shop 🍦

This year we have decided to close the Gelato Shop on Sunday 30th August, which is a little earlier than usual.

Gelato sales always slow right down once the cooler weather arrives in September, and this year we want to make the most of that time. So instead of scooping gelato in September, we are going to be busy making cheese! 🧀

Don't worry, you can still pick up tubs of gelato from the Farm Shop after the 30th, we will keep the freezer well stocked 🍦

Thank you all so much for another brilliant gelato scooping season. We have loved seeing you all and look forward to catching up in the gelato shop again before we close on the 30th for the winter!

The Farm Shop will still be open everyday 8am to 8pm and we will have our pork pop up shop in the next couple of months 💚
