🍔 BARRY NEEDS A LIE DOWN. 😴

After a wonderfully busy (and slightly bonkers) Presteigne Festival, Barry is, quite frankly, knackered.

So we’re giving him a few extra days to recover, recharge and rediscover his burger-flipping mojo.

🍔 Barry’s Burgers will NOT be happening this Wednesday.
Instead, we’ll be firing up the grill on:

👉 WEDNESDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER

Same Barry.
Same burgers.
Just a slightly better-rested Barry.

Crocketts will be back before then on Friday evening for our return to small plates of delight, and of course Wednesday 9th Sept for burgers, fries and the triumphant return of Barry. 🍔🔥

Thank you to everyone who came and kept us so brilliantly busy over Festival week — we had an absolute blast.

✨ A couple of tables have just opened up for tonight…

A few last-minute cancellations mean we’ve suddenly got some unexpected availability this evening — so if you thought you’d missed your chance, this is your sign.

A little glimpse of what could be on your table tonight…

🎻 The Blue Danube — Bluefin Tuna ceviche, avocado, chilli, lime, coconut milk, charcoal crackers, coriander cress
🎼 Drummond Bass — Panfried Scottish sea bass fillet, potato puree, pickled beeps, sampfire, matchstickfries, watercress oil
🍋 Lemon Cello — Lemon sorbet, lemon curd, vanilla cream, meringue, puff pastry, summer berry coulis, strawberries

🎼 A little peek behind the curtain…

The kitchen is in full festival mode, with Ross and the team busy prepping, tasting, chopping, stirring and generally creating a glorious flurry of activity in readiness for The Presteigne Festival.

Our Festival Menu is nearly ready to take centre stage — and dinner tables are disappearing fast.

But here’s the good news: we still have room for lunch.

So if you’d like to try the Festival Menu without fighting for one of those last evening tables, come and join us for a rather lovely leisurely lunch instead.

Three courses, a menu composed especially for Festival week, and absolutely no requirement to know your Bach from your Beethoven. 🎻

Brunch is in full swing this morning… and you lot have been organised! 🍳☕️

We’re now fully booked until 12pm, but there’s still time to join us for a slightly more leisurely Sunday brunch from 12–2pm.

Think Eggs Benedict, Royale & Florentine, colourful Mediterranean brunch or Huevos rancheros, good coffee and absolutely no need to get out of bed too early. 😉

Barry’s Burgers is back tomorrow night at Crocketts after last week’s postponement while chef Ross recovered.

This is our delayed Burger Night — usually held on the first Wednesday of the month — and for the occasion we’ve got:
