In true traditional Italian style, we are a family run restaurant and bar based in the heart of Poulton-Le-Fylde, serving traditional Italian food from freshly sourced local produce, prepared daily by our chefs. Tables can also be booked in the bar area for pre-dinner or after dinner drinks.

Fresh from our major refurbishment and with a stunning brand-new bar, Bistro Italia is entering an exciting new chapter and we’re looking for an experienced full-time Bar Team Member to join us.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous bar experience
• Is confident making cocktails and serving a busy bar
• Has a great personality and takes pride in brilliant customer service
• Works well as part of a fast-paced team
• Is reliable, professional and ready to get stuck in
• Is available for an immediate start

Today we officially opened the newly renovated Bistro Italia. 🇮🇹

Our restaurant has been part of Poulton for an incredible 33 years, originally opening as Papa’s of Poulton.

During the renovation, we uncovered a little piece of that history. Hidden behind the exterior was the original Papa’s sign, and amazingly, after all these years, it turns out to be almost exactly the same colour we’ve chosen for the newly renovated restaurant. It feels like it was meant to be.

A huge thank you has to go to Cam Moore for everything he did while we were away. From working alongside the tradespeople to helping oversee the renovation and keeping everything moving forward, we genuinely couldn’t have done it without him. Thank you, Cam 💙

We’d also like to thank every single tradesperson who has worked on Bistro Italia. You’ve helped take our vision and turn it into the beautiful restaurant we have today.

Finally, a very special thank you to the Mayor of Poulton, Mr Steve Nichols, who joined us this afternoon to officially open the newly renovated Bistro Italia.

We’re now fully open and taking bookings, and we can’t wait to welcome you through the doors.

Over the coming days, we’ll also be sharing some before and after pictures so you can see just how much has changed.

A big thank you to Oliver from OLM, who has done a fantastic job as part of the Bistro Italia refit. 👏

Oliver has taken care of the joinery throughout the restaurant, including the new panelling and carpentry, relocating the reception area, work on the exterior fascias and lots of those important finishing touches that have helped bring everything together.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes, and it’s been great to have skilled local tradespeople like Oliver involved in the transformation of Bistro Italia.

A huge thank you to Oliver and OLM for all the hard work. 🇮🇹

Lee is a fabulous person and we couldn’t recommend him enough 🙌🏼 Thank you Lee and with our new sign and window stickers now up, the project is just that bit closer to being completed ✅

Things are really starting to come together here at the restaurant 😍

While plenty is happening downstairs, we’ve been making good use of the space upstairs too, giving our tables a new lease of life as part of the full refurbishment ✨

There’s so much work going on behind the scenes, with every little detail being thought about carefully

We’re loving watching it all take shape and we honestly can’t wait to welcome you in and show you the finished Bistro ❤️

A big thank you to Jordan from Current Solutions NW ⚡️

Lighting plays such an important role in creating the right atmosphere, particularly in a restaurant, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have planned.

Jordan has been working closely with our interior designer, and with plenty of input from ourselves 😆, to really understand the look and feel we want to achieve throughout Bistro Italia.

From the lighting to the new fixtures, every detail is being carefully considered as part of our transformation.

We hope you’ve all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

Bistro Italia is now closed until the 15th September, while our wonderful team enjoy a much needed short break and our beautiful restaurant undergoes a little transformation of its own ✨

We won’t give too much away just yet, but keep an eye out for updates and a few sneak peeks along the way.

A little thank you to everyone for your patience while our building is surrounded by scaffolding. We know it’s not the prettiest welcome, and we really appreciate your understanding while we complete the final stage of our renovation works.

Despite the external appearance, we are OPEN AS NORMAL – the work is entirely external, so once you step through the door it’s business as usual. Our restaurant, kitchen and dining experience are completely unaffected.

We’ve loved the engagement and excitement from customers and passers-by, and we can’t wait to reveal the finished transformation and share the new look with you very soon.

In the meantime, please don’t let the scaffolding put you off – we’d love to welcome you for dinner or drinks.
