We apologise for radio silence, but it has been a painful time.

Mike’s Kitchen has indeed ceased trading.

We’ll be forever greatful for this chapter of our lives, and we will remain friends for life with many of our regulars - many of you have been friends from when we were ourselves customers at the cafe too.

We gave it a jolly good go. C'est la vie.

We are taking the decision now not to open Mike’s Kitchen this Thursday, due to the forecasted extreme weather.

CLOSED THURSDAY 25th - OPEN FRIDAY 26th

Stay hydrated, find the shade - keep your curtains drawn during the day, check on relatives and neighbours, particularly if they are elderly, disabled or vulnerable in other ways. Check mothers of very young children (and parents of children of all ages, in your tribe) who might need shop runs/ supplies/easentils/medicstion/nappies! Have lots of ice lollies! Put berries in the freezer - grapes are a great shout!

Miss the dog walk - better for the pooch be cooped up for a day or two, than burned alive.

We’ll see you on the more clement 25° forecast day Friday, where we can observe the thunder stormy weather from the sanctuary of Table 4 in the window of Mike’s Kitchen.
