It’s nearly Hoe Down Day and the weathers still saying sunshine ☀️☀️☀️🎉🎉🎉🤠🤠🤠

Come and join us for a day full of country music, cowboy hats, cold drinks, rodeo bull, delicious food, karaoke and good times .
Kicking off tomorrow from 3pm, come and join us for some of the day or make it a full day event- we’re here all day ☺️

Hope to see you all then- we are hoping to raise some funds for McMillan Cancer Support throughout the day, so please remember to bring some cash with you for the collection buckets.

To mark the kids going back to school this week, we’ve got a Plough history lesson for you today 📖

110 years ago today during World War One, on 3rd September 1916, British pilot Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson VC shot down the German airship SL11 over Cuffley.
The Zeppelin burst into flames and crashed into a field directly behind The Plough. Our little pub was later used for the coroner’s inquest into the deaths of the 16 German crew members.
Robinson was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions ☺️

Just a short walk up the Ridgeway, a monument stands to mark this bit of Cuffley history ❤️
Make sure to take a stroll to see it next time you’re in for a pint!
