CALLING ALL KNITTERS IN NORTHERN IRELAND! 🧶

We are currently looking to expand our team of freelance hand knitters at Hope Macaulay

Requirements:
• Preferably in a 20 mile radius of the North Coast area
• Experienced at hand knitting and following instructions/patterns
• Produce high quality work and strong attention to detail
• Able to work from home
• Smoke free home
• Able to work for a minimum of 9 hours per week

We are looking for a new TRAINEE CHOCOLATIER and we need your help to find them! We're inviting anyone who is interested in coming to work with us in Castlerock as a trainee chocolatier to contact us so we can find the right person to join our team!

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning business, with a fabulous team, based in the most beautiful village, to spend your working days making amazing chocolates! 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 making chocolates for all our various customers.

Returning as part of the Sunday outdoor (STREAT) programme are the popular cookery demonstrations, with celebrity chef Paula McIntyre MBE and various talented local chefs. This year, the demos will be staged in the grounds of Sharvagh House at top of Main Street. 🍳

Paula McIntyre Cooks is one of the UK’s best known and most respected chefs. A writer, columnist and regular contributor on BBC Radio Ulster, she recently returned to our TV screens in the BBCNI TV series ‘Paula McIntyre’s Hamely Kitchen’ showcasing the best of local food produce.

She recently launched her own signature gin in collaboration with Basalt Distillery. A one-of-a-kind blend that captures the spirit of Northern Ireland's wild and delightful flavours, combined with locally harvested Irish gorse, meadow sweet, and lemon verbena. 🍸

The demos will also feature several local chefs including Gary Stewart (Tartine at Distillers Arms), Craig Garrett (Portrush Atlantic Hotel), Rob Curley (Slemish Market Supper Club) and students from Ballymoney Northern Regional College. 👨‍🍳

Well that’s a wrap! I’d like to thank the people of Portstewart (and further afield) for welcoming us from the very beginning. We’ve really felt part of the community, sharing in the good times and bad. We’ve made some wonderful friends and sadly lost some as well, but we will always remember them fondly. We’ve had weddings, christenings, birthdays, parties and supper clubs. We’ve been lucky enough to work with some wonderful local producers and suppliers who shared our love of good, fresh, local food. We couldn’t have done any of this without some great staff, many of whom will remain friends for life. We’ve loved them coming back with girlfriends, boyfriends, babies to meet 😊 We would like to wish Derek and Aine many happy, successful years ahead in your new venture, we hope you’ll be as happy as we were. Most of all we’ve always been a family business and so from our family to all of yours we wish you all the very best and thank you again so much for supporting us over the last 12 years. Jacqui x
