Job Title: Kitchen Assistant / Cook Assistant / Restaurant Assistant
Location: Portsmouth
Job Type: Part-time / Permanent / Temporary
Salary: £12.21 – £12.50 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience or grow within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene (in line with Food Safety regulations)
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods
• Assist with serving customers where required
• Assisting in washing of dishes
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is desirable but not essential
• Understanding of basic food hygiene (Level 1 or 2 Food Safety is an advantage)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
