The Gandhi Restaurant

14/05/2026

If you didn’t make it to the charity buffet fundraiser at The Gandhi Restaurant tonight, you missed a brilliant evening 🤩🍛

Not only was there a fantastic buffet selection, but guests could also order from the main menu if they fancied even more… and just when everyone thought they were full, out came the ice cream, all included within the £19.99 buffet offer 🍨👏

The best part? Half of all takings from tonight are being donated to our charity 🙏

Thank you so much to everyone who came along, supported the event, and helped make the evening such a success. Every penny raised helps us continue providing support and services for our local community ❤️

If you couldn’t make tonight, Gandhi runs the same buffet deal every Sunday from 5pm onwards 👏 Definitely one to try for anyone who loves Indian food 😋

Last night our Over 25 Co-production & Social Group paid a first visit to The Gandhi Restaurant in North End, a restaurant loved by locals. With plenty of laughs from the jokey staff, quick service, generous portions and a very spacious, accessible venue, it was a great evening out. James tried the Nawab Special while others enjoyed a range of curries, and we were all impressed with the hot food, clean surroundings and friendly touches like hot flannels and mints at the end.

Attendance was a little lower after the August break, but we’re making up for it with double the number of events this month. We’d love to see more people joining us, please share our September programme far and wide, provided in the link below.

The Enable Ability Over 25 Social Group enjoyed an evening at Gandhi in North End last night. Gandhi is a firm favourite with the local community and this was the first time group leader James had visited. This inspection has been written with the help of the people with disabilities who attended, s...

We chose The Gandhi Restaurant for our Christmas meal with friends this year 🎄🍽️ The Sunday buffet at Gandhi Restaurant is exactly what you want this time of year. Relaxed, festive and eat as much as you like from 5pm, all self service so you can go back for more 😋 And if you’re a vegetarian or have any dietary requirements? Just ask, they’ll happily cook extra dishes for you at no extra cost. And if you’re still deciding on plans, their Christmas Day buffet is also well worth checking out but you’d need to book today to avoid disappointment 🎅✨ Top tip: The Indian Tea was unreal here, no need for sugar due to the condensed milk adding all the lovely sweetness needed 😘

🌟Indian Sunday Buffet Feast at The Gandhi Restaurant🌟

[GIFTED] I was joined by a few other local bloggers to experience something a bit dangerous… an unlimited Indian buffet!

Considering I have zero portion control, we still had such a great time WITHOUT feeling ill afterwards, the flavours were incredible and even my wife Jennifer was impressed (and she’s a tough one to please when it comes to Indian food)!

It’s honestly unlike anything we’ve ever tried in Portsmouth before, a unique and flavour-packed experience that’s perfect for anyone who loves good food. You can even make special requests for dishes to be cooked fresh to order, like we did! The chefs are more than happy to make it happen.

What really makes the Gandhi stand out though is the people. The staff are so friendly and welcoming; they add a bit of humour, make everyone feel at ease and they’re brilliant with the kids too, making it a real family-friendly restaurant where everyone can experiment with new dishes in small portions without the pressure of buying a whole dish. We honestly can’t emphasise enough how much the team go above and beyond to make every visit one to remember!
