Well this is not something we ever wanted to have to say and it’s being done with a broken heart and tear in the eye…we have come to the end of the line and have to close the doors of Connors Restaurant after evening service on Sunday 15th October. In 2019 we hit the ground running and had an amazing time getting the place shaped into what we wanted only to be shut down after just 1 year by Covid to which we have just never recovered from. We would firstly like to thank our amazing, talented and loyal to the end staff who have literally been there every step with us and we can not thank them enough with their dedication and support, we wish you all the very best in your new ventures and whoever is lucky enough to get you on their team will have hit gold! We would also like to thank all our family, friends and customers (many who now fall into the friends category) for all your support over the years through the good times and endless covid rules times! A massive thank you to all the amazing local suppliers Barsolus produce for the freshest veg, loveliest milk from The Wee Aird, tastiest meat from Fraser’s Butchers and William Loch who always went that extra mile to find us something special to have on our bar, you all helped us to show people what a gem of an area we live in and what amazing dishes and drinks can be made from our local produce. We really do appreciate having the opportunity to try and make our dream work and maybe if it had been a different year it would be a different story. My self, Kirstyn and Rebecca are starting a new chapter (hopefully will be a less stressful one) like they say…onwards and upwards.
