But don’t worry, we are still open!
Our regular evening menu will be available from 5pm–8pm.

🥃 JAPANESE WHISKY TASTING WITH NIKKA 🇯🇵

Something a little special is coming to The Ship Inn…

Join us on Monday 17th August from 7pm for an exclusive evening of Japanese whisky with the world-renowned Nikka Whisky.

Founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, one of the founding figures of Japanese whisky, Nikka combines traditional Scottish whisky-making techniques with Japanese precision, balance and craftsmanship. Today, its whiskies are produced primarily at the famous Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries and enjoyed around the world.

🎟️ Tickets are just £10, including:
🥃 A Japanese whisky highball on arrival
🥃 A guided tasting of 6 Japanese whiskies
🥃 The story and tasting notes behind each whisky
🇯🇵 A journey through the fascinating history of Japanese whisky and Nikka

⚠️ There are only 15 tickets available for this one.

We don't often get the opportunity to welcome international whisky brands like Nikka down here in Cornwall, so this is a genuinely special night and one not to be missed.

Whether you're a whisky lover or completely new to Japanese whisky, come along, grab a highball and discover what makes it so special.

Our house-made 8oz burger is crafted using premium beef mince from Kittow's Butchers of St Austell, then topped with melted manchego cheese, a crispy chorizo crumb, padrón pepper relish, a fried egg, and fresh rocket. Served with our hand-cut chips.

This week we're bringing the flavours of Greece to The Ship Inn with a special Greek BBQ from 5–8pm.

Expect freshly grilled souvlaki, gyros, lamb bifteki, seafood, halloumi, homemade sides and plenty more, all cooked fresh on the BBQ.

No bookings – just come along, grab a drink, soak up the sunshine in our beer garden, and enjoy a relaxed Sunday evening by the coast.
