RAISING MONEY FOR ALAW WARD – YSBYTY GWYNEDD

Local resident; Gethin John is raising money for Alaw Ward Ysbyty Gwynedd with a 27-mile walking challenge, from Tanygrisiau to Pwllheli, taking place on Saturday, 22nd of August!

The summer holidays have officially begun, and whether you’re catching up with family, exploring the railway, or simply making the most of the sunshine, we’d love to welcome you to Spooner’s.

We’re open 7 days a week, serving delicious food every day from 9:00am until 8:30pm.

On Thursday 9th July, Spooner’s will be closing from 5:30pm for a private event. 🎉

Don’t worry—we won’t be gone for long! 🍻 The bar will be back open from 8:30pm

🔥 HEATWAVE UPDATE 🔥

It turns out our chefs aren’t actually designed to operate at the same temperature as a pizza oven, so during this spell of extremely hot weather we’ll be running a reduced menu and slightly adjusted serving times.

While we’d love to tell you this is an exciting new concept called “minimalist dining,” the truth is we’re simply trying to keep our kitchen team from melting into a puddle.

Our staff are working hard, the fans are working harder, and the ice cream is working hardest of all.

Thank you for bearing with us while we survive this tropical Welsh summer. Please check our latest updates for serving times, and if you see a member of staff hugging the fridge, please know they’re simply carrying out important quality control checks.

‘EXTREME STEAM EXTRAVAGANZA’ SUMMER GALA OPENING TIMES

Our ‘Extreme Steam Extravaganza’ Gala has arrived and will take place between Friday, 19th June – Sunday, 21st of June 2026.

Spooner’s will be the perfect place to relax and soak up the atmosphere between train rides so whether you're starting your day with a hearty breakfast, enjoying a leisurely lunch or stopping by for coffee and cake, you'll find delicious food, friendly service, and superb views of the railway action from outdoor terrace!

Located right at the centre of the event, Spooner’s offers a welcoming setting for families, enthusiasts and visitors alike, making it an essential stop during one our busiest and most exciting weekends.

Our opening times will vary slightly over the course of the 3 days, see info below.

Mae ein Gala ‘Sioe Stêm Rhagorol’ wedi cyrraedd ac fydd yn cael ei gynnal rhwng Dydd Gwener, 19eg o Fehefin – Dydd Sul, 21ain o Fehefin 2026.

Bydd Spooner’s yn lle perffaith i ymlacio a mwynhau’r awyrgylch rhwng teithiau trên.
