🍽️ FULL-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE @ THE BOATHOUSE FISH BAR, PORTHCAWL 🐟

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and mature member of staff to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal person will:
• Have experience in a busy kitchen/food environment.
• Be confident cooking and keeping things running smoothly.
• Be organised and able to help coordinate the team when needed.
• Stay calm and work well under pressure.
• Have a good work ethic and be someone we can rely on.
• Be confident taking a bit of responsibility and showing initiative.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to become an important part of the team, with the potential for more responsibility as things progress.

🎉 13 YEARS OF THE BOATHOUSE FISH BAR PORTHCAWL 🎉

13 years ago today, two slightly younger versions of Jess and Bee stood proudly outside The Boathouse Fish Bar… and somehow, 13 years later, here we are! 🥹🐟🍟

13 years of serving Porthcawl, countless portions of fish & chips, plenty of laughs, and so many wonderful customers who have become part of the Boathouse family. ❤️

We honestly couldn’t have done it without you. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or you’ve only just discovered us, thank you for supporting our little chippy over the years. It means more than you know. 🫶

And what better way to celebrate than with a busy weekend in Porthcawl! 🚛🎪

With the Porthcawl Truck Gathering 8th and 9th August 2026 happening this weekend and the The Sunday Collective Market tomorrow, we reckon we make the perfect pit stop! 😋

🚨 PUBLIC APOLOGY TO PORTHCAWL 🚨😂

We feel it’s only right to apologise to anyone who visited The Boathouse Fish Bar last night and thought, “Christ… who let these people cook?” 🤦‍♂️🐟

Due to a staff incident, the owners themselves were forced to step away from the spreadsheets, make their way to dry land… and actually work the shop. 😳

So if your fish was slightly wonky, your chips had a personality of their own, or your order arrived looking like it had been prepared during a fire drill…

WE’RE SORRY.

We promise our usual team is back in place today and normal levels of competence have been restored. 😂🙏 Porthcawl’s least qualified emergency kitchen staff have stood down.

💛 A huge congratulations to our amazing team member Kayleigh here at The Boathouse Fish Bar, Porthcawl!

🚶‍♀️Yesterday, she took on an incredible challenge, walking 38.11km from Mumbles to The Mules in support of the fantastic Sandville Self Help Foundation. What an incredible achievement and a real testament to her determination and generosity.

🏅 She’s completed the walk, but there’s still time to help her make an even bigger difference. If you’re able to, please consider donating to her fundraising page. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the amazing work Sandville Charity does.
