Fun day with Boots and Beards on Sunday

Boots and Beards are celebrating their 10th anniversary at Finlaystone on Sunday 6 September.

While the day is principally for their members, they would be delighted if other visitors to the estate join them in some of the activities they are laying on including arts and crafts, mini hikes, face painting and other activities.

The event is on between 11am and 5pm at Captains field and visitors just pay the normal entrance fees.

The Ark animal experience centre will also be open as normal from midday on Saturday and Sunday.

Boots & Beards is a Glasgow-based charity that uses physical activity, the outdoors and community connection to improve health and wellbeing, particularly among people from ethnic minority and other under-represented communities. To find out more visit - www.bootsandbeards.co.uk

We’re looking for garden volunteers to help care for the beautiful gardens at Finlaystone.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply keen to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. From planting and pruning to weeding, watering and general garden upkeep, every helping hand makes a difference.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to spend time outdoors, meet like-minded people and help these beautiful gardens continue to thrive.
