Let’s have a chat about Festival of Speed 2026 & this amazing man…
It is hard to explain how much planning & preparation goes into these big events… and whilst I am home looking after the kiddies, I don’t think anyone quite understands how much Jon has done to make this all happen!!!
Here’s a little insight…
- Ordering stock, new signage & menus
- Towing 5 trailers to Goodwood (4 hour round trip each time)
- Getting all the trailers into position & stocking them up with thousands of cups, coffee, ice and everything else that the trucks needs to run.
- Buying & transporting over 1,000 bottles of milk
- Unloading 500 cases of bottled water & 300 cases of canned drinks
- Getting up at 4am everyday to go and buy more milk
- Staying onsite until 9pm to make sure everything is ready for the next day.
- Working with the team throughout the day to keep everything stocked up and of course clocking hours on the coffee machine!
… and although the festival has now finished… Jon’s work is not yet done, it’s time to pack up & get everything back home!!! I honestly don’t know how he does it but his determination & drive to make it a success is next level… and let’s just hope next year Goodwood don’t ask for extra truck last minute 😆 he just can’t say no!
We cannot wait to have him home… me & the kids are super proud of him! 🫶🏼
…. Grounded team appreciation post is incoming, they absolutely worked their socks off too but for now… 👏🏻 well done Jonny!
