After going down brilliantly at our Easter Rising charity gig, Vacant Pistols return on Saturday 26th September for a full night of S*x Pistols chaos, energy and proper live punk. 🤘

🎶 DISTRICT SESSIONS OPEN MIC – THANK YOU! 🎶

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our first District Sessions Open Mic yesterday.

We had some fantastic musicians turn up, some new faces and, best of all, some brilliant ad hoc throw-togethers — people who’d never played together before just getting up, joining in and seeing what happened! 🎤🎸🎹🥁

For our first one, we were really pleased with the numbers. Everything worked well, we learnt a few things along the way, and hopefully we can now let it grow nicely from here.

Most importantly, the vibe was exactly what we wanted — relaxed, friendly and supportive. No pressure, no egos, just everyone encouraging each other and enjoying the music.

Thanks to everyone who played, sang, joined in, helped out or simply came along for a pint and listened. ❤️

And if you fancied getting up but weren’t quite brave enough this time… there’s always the next one! 😁

Our first ever District Sessions Open Mic kicks off from 4pm today at The District Club!

This one is all about having a go and enjoying yourself. We’re fully expecting bum notes, forgotten lyrics, dodgy chords and probably a few gremlins for us to iron out along the way 😂 — that’s half the fun!

No pressure, no cliques and definitely no expectation of perfection. Just a chilled Sunday afternoon, a few drinks and people getting up to sing, play or have a jam.

🎹 CAN ANYONE HELP? – DIGITAL PIANO/KEYBOARD WANTED 🎹

We’re looking for an 88-key weighted/hammer-action digital piano/Keyboard for use at The District Club for our open mic nights and other live music events.

Before we go out and buy one, we thought we’d ask locally. Does anyone have one that’s no longer being used and they’d be willing to sell to the club for a reasonable price?

It doesn’t need to be the latest model or look perfect – as long as it’s fully working and has 88 weighted keys, we’d be interested.

We try to support the local community wherever we can, and quite a few bits and pieces have left the club recently for new homes rather than going to waste, so we thought we’d try our luck the other way around for once! 😁

If you’ve got something suitable tucked away, please drop us a message. 🎹
