Mother Hen Eggs began when I was just 16 years old & with six chickens, balancing sixth form in school during the week and doing door to door egg deliveries on a Sunday morning. I started Mother Hen Eggs from £4 which was built on a simple belief of quality matters, consistency matters, and genuine service should always come first.
What started with just six eggs and knocking doors grew through word of mouth and repeat customers.
Before I could even drive, my parents and grandfather were right there beside me, helping deliver eggs with me across South Wales. I will never forget their belief in me, their time, and their support which made it possible for Mother Hen Eggs to get off the ground and honestly, without them, this business would look very different today 🧡🥚
In 2024, I was lucky enough to have won Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 at South Wales Business Awards 🏆
Now at 24 years old, I continue to lead Mother Hen Eggs with the same hands on mindset it was built on, supplying delicious farm fresh free range eggs to households and businesses alike, which they can rely on, from breakfast to dinner 🍳
From where Mother Hen Eggs started to where Mother Hen Eggs is now, the heart of it hasn’t changed.
It’s still about taking pride in quality and service
I’ve learnt a lot along the way and cracked a few eggs in between, but every step has been worth it.
