At The Angel, we've always believed that a good local pub is about much more than food and drink. It's about friendship, conversation, laughter, and being part of a community.

Research from University of Oxford found that people who regularly visit a local pub often feel more socially connected, more engaged with their community, and have stronger social networks. The study highlighted that social connections can be one of the most important buffers against both mental and physical illness.
