Your Cafe is hiring — Part-Time Front-of-House Team Member
Location: Your Cafe, 43 Farmlands Way, Polegate, BN26 5LR
Working pattern: Part-time (shifts available mornings)
Start date: Immediate
Are you finished school or college student? If you are friendly, reliable and great with people? We’re looking for a part-time Front-of-House team member to join our small, welcoming cafe team. You’ll be the face of Your Cafe — serving customers, taking orders, keeping the service area tidy, and helping create a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and take orders courteously and efficiently
- Prepare and serve drinks and simple counter food (training provided)
- Operate the till and handle payments accurately
- Keep front-of-house clean as per F&H standard, stocked and welcoming
- Assist with basic food prep, dishwashing and closing duties as required
- Provide friendly, timely customer service and respond to enquiries
About you
- Warm, approachable and customer-focused
- Good communication and basic numeracy skills
- Able to work reliably on scheduled shifts (including weekends)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Prior hospitality/cafe experience is an advantage but not essential — we will train the right person
Location requirement
- Applicants must live within a 1-mile radius of the cafe (walking distance). Proof of address will be required at interview.
