MATCHDAY 5 (KEN RICKARD CUP)

We started well with some tidy possession football and passages of play leading to key chances.

We went into an early lead but just couldn’t seem to keep the clean sheet attack out after conceding a solo goal from their winger and a sloppy goal from a free kick meaning we went into the break 3-2 up.

The second half continued in a similar fashion but eventually the Maurice lads managed to pull away with Liam scoring 4 and goals from Jack, Lew, Besty & Tom.

A great game to watch with both teams having plenty of chances and the two teams challenging fairly throughout.

Wow What a Weekend!!!!!

Thank you to our Catering Festival Food Tent Paul Lamey and Jayne Marie Lamey for keeping us going!!!
A really really BIG Thank you to our amazing staff team who worked their backsides off and kept a smile on their faces throughout
And finally a big thank you to you for your support and joining us!!!!
Look forward to seeing you all again for our festivals next year (May 7th 2027) if not before!

MATCHDAY 4 (CHALLENGE CUP)

A great game for the neutrals, but unfortunately the scoreline wasn’t in our favour this week.

Despite almost half the squad being out the night before and turning up in some questionable states, the lads showed great resilience to fight our way back into the game on a few occasions and even take the lead, but unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be.

Josh Gofton proving to be a real aerial threat from corners, getting himself on the scoresheet again. Adam Best with some good footwork & a tidy finish, not bad for someone who was still pissed…

A few errors ultimately proved costly, with Firkin Scholar clinical in front of goal and taking advantage of our mistakes.

We take the positives and move on into next week.
