The Dartmoor Diner was built in 2000, but for many local people it will always fondly be remembered Our menu ranges from a light snack to homemade hwarty meals.
Here at the Diner we are a family-friendly restaurant and we welcome anyone, as well as well-behaved dogs. We have a lovely garden positioned right next to Dartmoor National Park. Our outdoor seating provides you with the opportunity to dine outside whilst enjoying the sun and the fresh moorland air. Inside we have a lovely team of staff who will be happy to seat you inside and serve you providin
g you with table service. We recommend booking especially at peak times. Our menu has a wide range of fresh homemade dishes which are popular amongst our regulars.

The Dartmoor Diner was rebuilt in 2000 to how it stands today, formally remembered as ‘the green hut’ to many of you. The Diner was taken over by Christina Hajiyianni 2004 who has worked hard to get it to where it is today ensuring food is cooked fresh with filling homemade meals and a family restaurant atmosphere. The Diner is licenced selling draught beer, wine and a variety of spirits however we mainly sell soft hot and cold drinks as we are a family hub to all of any age.
Our Food:
We are open every morning from 8.30am serving breakfasts made to order until 11.30am where we then switch to our Lunch menu but don’t panic, we serve an all-day breakfast on this menu too. Our menu offers a variety of meals from light bite sandwiches and jacket potatoes to more hearty meals such as our Homemade Pies and Moussaka. On our menu you can find our children’s menu which includes a drink, meal and dessert. However you feel we are sure you will find something on our menu.
Cant stop? Grab something to takeaway. Not just a sandwich but a nice warm meal to refuel you for the day even our Sunday Carvery.
Our Customers:
We are open to all; we aren’t a Michelin star restaurant but we do pride ourselves with our service and food. We see many walkers and cyclists take full advantage of our FREE PARKING to go on a nice walk or cycle getting their steps in and then pop in on the way back for a drink or bite to eat. We also see families coming in for some quality time together where they don’t have to do the dishes. Over the years we have built up a great bond with our regulars who you may notice have a chat with us about life when they pop in as they have become part of the Darmoor family community.
Special Requirements:
If you have any dietary requirements please let our serving staff know so that we can advise you what options we can offer or if needed to mix and match a few items.
If you need space for a highchair or wheelchair during our peak time (11.30- 2pm) it is best to book and let us know as due to health and safety regrettably we are limited as to where we can seat you. We have disabled and baby changing facilities.
