The community meals service will be closing on Saturday 28 February 2026. We will continue to provide meals for existing customers up to that date, and we can accept enquiries from potential new customers who require meals on a short term basis (up to 28 February 2026).

If you require meals on a longer term basis (beyond 28 February 2026), we can provide details of other organisations from which you could choose to purchase home delivered meals from 1 March 2026.

CATERed runs the Community Meal Service in Plymouth supplying freshly prepared home cooked meals to customers in their own homes 365 days per year. We are located at The Rise in Plympton.

We’re looking for a caring and compassionate catering assistant to join our Community Meals team.

📌 Job Details:
✅ Assist in the preparation, cooking and packing of hot cooked meals ready for collection by our community meals drivers🥘
✅ Table service to the residents of The Rise
✅ Hours: 12.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Bank Holidays included)⏰
✅ Potential for additional weekend work based on demand

📍 Key Requirements:
🔹 A caring approach towards older people💛
🔹An Enhanced DBS check (including ISA Children’s Barred Lists)
🔹 Training will be provided

🚫 Not suitable for job share
