Just down the road from us the annual Union Street Party is warming up. Pop down and support. The organisers put a lot of effort in. We seen singers, Steel Band, street food and many more stores including the legendary Human Fruit Machine 😁

A lovely night of dancing and singing. Didn't get chance til end of night to take photos etc as busy so here's the few I got. Thank you to Plymouth Morris for entertaining us on behalf of us and our customers and always supporting us.

The Plymouth Morris are coming next week and will be dancing outside and if we are lucky they will come in for a sing song and a few beers 🍻😁 Always an enjoyable evening and always nice to see them all. Listen out for the bells and you will know they are on their way after dancing at The Seco Lounge.

What a fab night with Plymouth Shanty Shout. We love having them here At The Artillery Arms. Always smiling, always enjoying friendship and songs. What a lovely bunch. Thank you for bringing the song, laughter and friendship to us.

So this year we have stepped aside and hope support is given to this fun competition which goes so far supporting the local pub scene and Simon puts so much time and effort in. The Buzz last year was amazing and our customers stepped up massively which humbled us. We have great customers and really value and appreciate you all. The Artillery Arms is amazing because of you and your support. Long may she continue Cheers 🍻🥂

A really lovely conversation last night with Elaine and Belinda at The Artillery Arms.

The Artillery were runners-up in Plymouth’s Favourite Pub last year and, unsurprisingly, they were voted into the competition again for 2026.

But last night Elaine and Belinda told me they’ve decided to withdraw. Not because they don’t value the support, quite the opposite. They were genuinely touched to have been voted in again, but after coming so close last year, they’d rather step aside and give another Plymouth pub the opportunity to take part.

I have an enormous amount of respect for that decision, and of course I’ll honour it.

It says an awful lot about Elaine and Belinda, and about the spirit in which they run The Artillery Arms. They clearly love their pub, their customers and Plymouth’s wider pub community too.

Thank you both for such a lovely chat last night, and congratulations again on being voted in by the people of Plymouth.

That recognition still absolutely counts. ❤️🍺
