CLOSED TOMORROW

The roads around West Hoe will be closed tomorrow (Sunday 31st May) for the annual Race for Life.

As a result we will be CLOSED tomorrow and reopen on Tuesday 2nd June as usual.

We have been using Kingston Preserves for many years and while it will be sad to not have her delicious produce in our sandwiches anymore we wish her a very well earned retirement and thank her for all her hard work. We will certainly miss Cheryl’s smiling face every time we get a jam and chutney delivery!

We have just had a bumper delivery of jams and chutneys but it was our last one so if you’ve got a favourite pop in and buy a jar or two. Once it’s gone it’s gone!!

Part Time Job Opening

We are looking for someone to join our friendly team at By the Park Cafe. The position will be front of house and will involve taking orders, preparing drinks, service, general organisation, opening and closing routines and light cleaning.

Past experiences is a benefit but not essential. Training will be given.

We are looking for someone:

* Friendly, confident and good with people. We are a small friendly cafe with lots of regulars that like a chat.
* To work well as a team member
* Reliable, punctual and flexible
* Age 17+
* Available on Saturdays or Sundays and able to work extra days over the children’s holidays.
* Willing to cover sickness and holidays (often at short notice)
* To work between the hours of 9.30am and 5.00pm, with a mix of whole day and half day shifts.
* Wage is dependent on age.
