Good Evening DidBeaners, JJ here 👋, a 14 week old JJ 😱😱!!

Still loving life, still love trees and still love my favourite ball 💙

Well the weather has certainly changed hasn't it 🥶 I get to wear all my cute clothes now though which is awesome, the only down side to this weather change is my daily walks have shortened due to those pesky water drops from the sky 😔, but its all good as every walk we do go on I still get to see my beloved trees 🥰!

This past week I have reeeaaaalllly found my voice, I can shout and yell and everything! The other day I had a full blown conversation with another baby....babbling away I was, for 5 whole minutes, i talked about my tree walks, my milky pops and my lack of tear drops when i suddenly realised that this baby was not talking back to me and that I was doing all the talking. So I thought I would be polite and stop to let them talk and tell me about their day, but they didnt talk, we just stared at eachother for a good minute with no words exchanged, it got pretty awkward towards the end..................well ladies and gentlemen, I now know what a mirror is 🫩 not falling for that one again!!

I have officially outgrown pretty much all of my 3-6 month old clothes now 👀 I do not know what is in my milk but I feel like I am growing like bamboo!!

I have learnt a new skill this week, I can now turn onto my side unassisted. This is really fun to do, I haven't quite mastered the full turn yet, but I am in no rush for that as I feel that if I did manage to turn onto my belly unassisted then I would be stuck there panic rocking like a tortoise that has fallen onto his back and I ain't quite ready for those types of stresses or emotions just yet!

Another skill that I have learnt this week is I can now hold my head up all by myself when I am being held 😍!! It still jerks ever so slightly every now and then abit like Uncle Albert's head (if you know, you know)........give me a couple of weeks and Ill be a master at it I am sure 💙 Mummy says I am growing waaaay too quickly and she doesn't like it!!

I gained a new family member this week also 😍...my cousin had a beauiful baby girl on Tuesday and I can not wait to meet her and warn her about this crazy side of the womb 🩷 I already have so much I can babble to her (no mirrors will be involved this time)!!

Also wanted to say thank you so much to Phoebe who very kindly made me this epic cardigan that I am wearing in the pictures..i absolutely love it and it is already keeping me lovely and warm on these colder mornings ❤️

Anyways, I best go now....It is a late one tonight as it has been a pretty hectic week for us all and I have only found time tonight to do my post and it is waaaaay past my bedtime and the land of nod is calling my name. Sorry for the delay in posting this week and hopefully see you all soon 💙

Due to very very low foot fall (and a doctors appointment) we will be closing St Maurice early today, sorry for any inconveniences caused but we just can not justify the outgoings today without any incomings 😢

Week 13 on this wild ride that is life.....

JJ here guys 👋, ive celebrated 13 whole weeks this week!!
Some would say unlucky for some and maybe they are right as I have hit a major Leap this week and have been going through some massive changes that I have found quite overwhelming 😔 but with Mummy and Daddy's love and comfort, I am of course powering through it everyday and trying my best to be the little delightful, happy and patient boy that I am 💪💙 everyday certainly is an adventure thats for sure!!

Did everyone see the flashy flashy lights and hear the bangy bang bangs the other night?! Yea me too, for once it wasn't me waking mummy up in the night!! We had a scared mummy, a intrigued me, 1 fur brother hanging off the light and the other fur brother trying to get into daddys armpit whilst daddy just snored away........it was quite an eventful night thats for sure!! Daddy woke up all refreshed and non the wiser of the nights events whereas we all had bags under our eyes that looked like we had just done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!!

The highlight of the week though had to be my first trip to a little place called Dartmoor Zoo where my daddy used to work 😍 it was an amazing family day out. The amount of trees there was overwhelming 💙 I spent all day looking up at so many of them, they were all so beautiful 💙.
At one point daddy did manage to pry my eyes away from the trees long enough for me to see him call over an old friend that looked like a very, very big version of my fur brothers but it was orange with black stripes...he was pretty magnificent, but not as exciting as my beloved trees 🌲🌳🌴!!

One tragic thing did happen this week though....I have discovered my favourite toy....it is a colourful ball with lots of holes in it so i can easily grab, hold and try and chew on it, its my absolute favourite, well mummy took it with us up the ridgeway the other day and guess what?! She lost it 😱😱😱 i didn't throw it out of the pram or anything I promise 👀 I genuinely believe that mummy lost it on purpose as I was giving it more attention then I was her 🤣!! Well, when we got home, mummy was panic ordering something from amazon.............I can now say I am the proud owner of 5 of these balls 😍, one for every room and one for the pram!!

Well not much else has happened this week, its been a pretty quiet one tbh, I have no complaints......I am looked after pretty well 🤪I mean, sure, you could always be given just one more bottle of milk, but I suppose Ill settle for these 6 chub rolls and for the fact that my mummy isn't a dairy cow!

*Edit - Wow, isn't it hard enough for businesses without peoples negative comments 😔🥱...the food isn't burnt, it is paprika on top of the sausage rolls that have come out that colour on the picture due to the filter, the bottom shelf isn't even food, it is reflection from the food above it!! So no, the food isn't burnt! 😊

Good evening everyone -

Wow what a week, this past week we have had the following break down on us -

1x coffee grinder (currently still in hosptial)
1x drinks fridge (still waiting on part to fix)
1x cake fridge (hopefully will be fixed tomorrow)
2x air cons (both thankfully up and running again now)

We have also dealt with -

2x floods of the kitchen and shop floor
1x full electrical blackout, losing not only all the electrics in our shop, but the whole of Ridgeway.....

If anything, business definitely keeps you on your toes thats for sure!! Worst month for all this to happen in too 😭 this heat has killed us financially 😭🥵🤣

But oh well, this is life 🤣

But a big shout out to our awesome staff that are just handling everything so incredibly well and for always making sure we have those doors open for our amazing customers no matter what...they are all legends 🤩!!

And a shout out to our amazing little boy JJ, who is so chilled and patient 💙 the amount of out of hours we have had to spend in Ridgeway shop these past couple of weeks sorting things out and he has just chilled in his pram letting us get done what we need to do get done and accepted it 💙 we are so lucky to have such a calm and dear boy.....he is just the best 🥰🥰

Anyways, we also needed to let you know that our St Maurice shop will be CLOSED tomorrow Saturday 22nd August due to other commitments (JJ 💙). We hope you understand 🙏 Ridgeway shop will be open as usual 💙

Good Evening Everyone 👋 JJ Here!!

Well its official, I have been Earth Side for 12 whole weeks - I am now officially no longer a new born 😭😭 I am basically an adult now, you might aswell just throw a Jack daniels in my bottle and kick me out of the nest 😭😭

Where the heck did those 12 weeks go?!!

Another week gone by, another week of fun, learning and discovering!

This week I have learnt how to track items with my eyeballs 👀 and learnt how to grab, hold and lift items too, which is really fun when I am constantly grabbing and knocking my bottle out of my mouth during feed times....oh and another little trick I have learnt is constantly using my tongue to push the bottle out of my mouth also. I mean, this new hobby literally started overnight, I basically went from being a newborn with tongue tie, barely able to push my tongue past my little pink gums at all one day, to then the next day being an olympic gold medalist at pushing my tongue out really far and with insane strength to push the bottle right out of my mouth like a little milky torpedo across the room, milk everywhere and milk/bottle ruined, onto the next one that mummy pumped earlier 🙄🤣

I now officially have a favourite toy, a holey ball that i can spend hours playing with, sometimes though i get a little too excited playing with it and end up so stimmed out of my mind that mummy needs to step in to bring me back down to earth again.......its like being one of my fur brothers on catnip!!

I had a very, what my daddy called "Janner day" the other day....I met my uncle Chris and Aunty Mel for the first time and we went to the Barbican for a cap n jasper's, we then walked along the Hoe to West Hoe for Ice Cream and so daddy could use me as an excuse to play on the water gun games with Chris. We then finished off with a walk around Saltram......so I can now officially say, I am a Janner!!

My nighttime sleeping hasn't been great this week, I think I am going through one of those "leaps" again...they are always a wild ride! Mummy says its funny that before I came along, Daddy would always complain that he doesnt sleep very well, that he could wake up to the sound of a mouses fart and that he was always tired with only sleeping a couple of hours blah, blah, blah.......but since ive come along, daddy now sleeps all the night through, just like my cat brothers (minus the purring and hair balls, because well, lets face it, where would the hair come from 👀😜)? He could now sleep through a category 10 hurricane with bins being blown over and everything and no stirring at all, not even a flinch.......mummy on the other hand knows I am about to wake up even before I do!!! Just me thinking to myself "oh, im hungry, I may wake up in a minute for some scrummy milk" is enough to wake my mummy 🥰

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first "JJ cares" Day today 🥰 we fed alot of children for Free today and it felt really good 😊 our next one will be announced soon and will be a different one......so keep your eyes peeled 💙

Anyways, im off now - mummy and daddy snuggles await me and ive got to find my comfort spot for the night before my fur brothers take the best spot (just kidding, the best spot is constantly reserved just for me 🥰)

Hello Everybody 👋

Upon reading my last post (it has now been deleted) i read it in a completely different light, yes all businesses are struggling at the moment, it comes with the territory, you will always have good times and bad times in business as we all know.

But I didnt stop to think that its not just us businesses that are sturggling, but you, our amazing customers that are struggling too especially with being the summer holidays but yet you still come to us 🙏❤️ and with the government showing no signs of helping any of us anytime soon we must stick together and support one another and help eachother out, because if we dont do it, no one else will and that will make this life a very sad life indeed!
