Let’s go out with a bang! Come join us on Sunday for West End Bar and let Chris Peebles host us through what’s sure to be a fabulous afternoon of tunes and good cheer. And a few tears too - as Oonagh and I bid you all Fare Ye Well as we pass the baton to the next custodians of this wonderful place. Please note 5pm start time - the Anster Harbour Festival clashes so we’re starting things a bit later. Music til 9pm, bar afterwards. See you then!

Farewell to the Festival and farewell from us! Some of you will already know our news, but for those who don’t, this was our last Arts Festival because we’re passing on the pub to new owners at the start of September. Our last day’s service will be Sunday 30 August ( !). We can’t possibly sum up the last nearly nine years in one post, so for now, all we’d like to say is that it’s been an extraordinary time, full of wonderful people, and we say a massive thank you to all our customers, and most especially our fantastic regulars. You all make the pub the very special place it is. And a big thank you 🙏 to Heather for being such an awesome help for so long Heather . We’ll post more details over the next few weeks here and on our website. Bye for now! Tim and Oonagh 😘 x

Big thanks 🙏 to the wonderful Sarah Sarah Banjo and The 2Beat Gospel and all our performers for a joyously fun and enjoyable afternoon of sounds. Thanks to John Myles, Stephen W (Lindisfarne!), Lali, the Tad Experience, Nick Fry, Elaine, and welcoming back Jonathan and a big hello to Bill, from Dry Island Buffalo Jump (band) and last but certainly not least a big round of applause to Angela for some choice and fruity sung-poetry near the end. Massive thanks 🙏 to two brilliant musicians we we thrilled to host last night - Gordon McKinney all the way from Oklahoma and The Silver Reserve (aka Matthew Sturgess) from Yorkshire. We loved Gordon from his first visit here in 2022 with his wife (Hi, Heather!) and it was so good welcoming him back. Gordon and Matthew were a perfect pairing - they might sound very different but the soul and intent are the same: honest, heartfelt, hilarious, totally real music, with some mighty fine guitar work too! Best of luck y’all with the rest of your UK tour! Big thanks too to Sarah for saving the day with essential kit!! And THANK YOU to you fine folks for coming out and supporting live music.
