The White Swan Inn has been welcoming friends, families and new guests from around the world with enchanting hospitality since 1532. Situated in the historic old market town of Pickering on the edge of the North York Moors, the 16th century building was pressed into service as a coaching inn on the ancient ‘Salt Route’ from Whitby to the commercial centre of York. You can feel the history of this

old inn in the atmospheric public rooms sitting by the side of the roaring fires and in the very fabric of the stones of the building that have seen so many travellers come and go over the centuries.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our chef, Liam, is taking on an amazing challenge!

In 2028, Liam will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for three incredible charities:

💜 Dementia Research
💛 Motor Neurone Disease Association

Sunday nights don’t have to feel like the end of the weekend.

The Sunday Reset is made for stretching things out a little longer: a glass of Prosecco on arrival, dinner in the restaurant, a quiet night at the inn and a proper Yorkshire breakfast the next morning.

No rushing. No Sunday-night slump. Just good food, deep sleep and a gentler start to Monday.
