After 13 incredible years, it is with a very heavy heart that we announce Willowgate Bistro will be closing its doors, with our final service taking place on Saturday 29th August 2026.
This has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever made, and certainly not one we have taken lightly.
When we opened Willowgate Bistro in 2013, we had a dream of creating more than just a restaurant. We wanted somewhere people could come together, celebrate, and make memories, and over the last 13 years, you have made that dream a reality.
We’ve had the privilege of seeing proposals, birthdays, anniversaries and wedding breakfasts. We’ve welcomed regulars who became friends, families who returned year after year, and shared moments remembering those who are sadly no longer with us. To have been part of these moments is something we will always treasure.
As life has changed, so have the needs of our family, and our time and commitments are increasingly being pulled in different directions. We’ve reached the difficult decision that now is the right time to close this chapter.
To our customers, our regulars, our wonderful local community and our incredible suppliers, thank you. You have supported us through the good times and the challenging ones, and you are the reason Willowgate Bistro became so much more than simply a business.
We would love to welcome as many of you as possible through our doors one last time. Our remaining services will be:
Friday 14th & Saturday 15th August
Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd August
Friday 28th & Saturday 29th August
Our Final Tasting Menu Weekend
For our final weekend, we’ll be serving a special tasting menu, a celebration of great food, great produce and everything Willowgate Bistro has stood for over the past 13 years.
Then, on the evening of Saturday 29th August, we’ll serve our final guests and close the doors for the last time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every meal, every celebration, every conversation, every recommendation and every memory.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives for the past 13 years.
It’s been one hell of a journey, and one we’ll never forget. ❤️
