Here's what you've all been waiting for. Our satay sauce.

One of the simplest sauces we sell (you'll kick yourselves)

Ingredients:
1 Jar of Jimmy's Saté Sauce
400g of Peanut butter (smooth/crunchy we use both)
[We use Asda brand Peanut butter because its already thick and will help thicken the sauce when cooking]
Water

Steps:
1. Combine Jimmy's Saté sauce and Peanut butter in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
[Keep refrigerated or can be frozen]
2. In a pan, cook your meat (and veg) until fully cooked through.
3. Turn down the heat to a medium low / low and add some water enough to cover the bottom of the pan, about 80-100ml.
4. Add 2 tablespoons of your mixed Satay paste and stir until combined with the water.
5. Now pay attention this is important. Continue to cook on a low heat while stirring. It will start off a bit runny and will thicken itself as it heats up. DO NOT BRING TO THE BOIL. If you boil it, it will split and your pan will be full of oil.
6. When you start to see small pockets of bubbles appearing take it off the heat and serve right away. If you leave it in the pan it will continue to thicken just with the heat of the pan.

As soon as you start Step 4. It's best to start getting plates ready with any rice, chips etc.

You can also make the sauce in the microwave if you're just craving the sauce.

1. In a microwave safe container add 100ml water and 2 tablespoons of Satay paste and mix well.
2. In short bursts of 10 secs you're going to microwave it on high, each time taking it out and stirring it. After a few blasts it'll start to thicken.
3. As it starts to thicken microwave in 5 second bursts until desired consistency. Importantly don't over blast it or it'll split.

So now you can enjoy our Satay sauce at home and in the office

Dear customers,

We are selling Jonny's Kitchen.
Let it sink in...
It's time for us to move on from our little business of 7 years. Some will know we've been trying to sell for a while and now we have a buyer in the final stages.

It's been a long journey. We never would've guessed a pandemic and war in Europe to be on our bingo cards and sadly it's had lasting affects on us and our surrounding neighbours. We started out wanting to help people eat better and healthier, we never expected we'd end up helping families just to eat. Our free food parcels have personally been a defining moment I'll continue to reflect on.

Some of you have been coming since we first opened in 2018. We've seen some move onto better things in their careers and life, some have been knocked down and some seen tragedies. Most amazingly we've seen new families begin and grow. There's been endless connections with people I never expected but I'm so grateful for it.

I will carry these lessons and moments everywhere I go and know that whatever I go on to build next will have had you all as part of my foundations.

As for our final date... that's a bit sticky...

Me and the buyer have agreed and hoping we can handover on Saturday 1st Nov making our last day Friday 31st. Right now I've sent in my Deed of Surrender for my lease and the buyer has agreed to a new lease. Anything unforseen might delay us a week to 8th Nov but all I can do is wait now.

Thank you everyone so so much for these years and we hope to see you one more time.

Jonny and Mui (my mum ❤)

Hi,

Sorry to announce we will be increasing our prices a bit starting 1st April 2025.

Nearly every month we find something has gone up in price and we can't afford to do nothing anymore. Hospitality is such a difficult sector to be in right now so thank you for your past and continued support.
