What a phenomenal weekend we’ve had by the green! 🍻 Throwing it back to yesterday’s sunshine and incredible vibes.

If you thought yesterday was good, we are saving the best for last! Today is the grand finale of The 2nd Annual Skipper Beer Festival, and we are ready to close it out in style.

We are thrilled to welcome back the magnificent 'Epigone' and their fantastic jazz ensemble to close the festival. They’ll be performing 3 amazing sets from 3 PM – 6 PM.

🍻 Live Music Today at The Chequered Skipper! 🎶

The 2nd Annual Beer Festival continues today, Saturday 26th September, and we have an incredible trio of live music lined up for you!

Come on down to enjoy some amazing free live music alongside great food, drinks, and company.

Here is our schedule for the day:

* 12:45 PM – Kicking things off, The Wansford Ukulele Folk Band returns for another fantastic set!

* 2:30 PM – The superb soloist Hannah Faulkner takes the stage with her fantastic guitar skills, playing two 45-minute sets featuring a mix of Soul, Motown, Pop, Jazz, and dance.

* 6:30 PM – Closing out our musical performances, the fabulously talented Hayley Di Rito will perform three 45-minute sets of old and current material.

The countdown is officially on! Only one week left until we celebrate our 2nd Annual Skipper Beer Festival at The Chequered Skipper!

Join us as we celebrate our 2nd anniversary of our reopening. Can you believe that?😮?

Here is everything you need to know for our big weekend from 25th - 27th September '26:

* The Drinks: Up to 20 local ales to taste! Along with some ciders too

* Friday, 25th: Kick things off with Jack’s Big Pub Quiz & Pizza night.

* Saturday, 26th: Enjoy live acts throughout the day with music starting at 12:45 PM.

* Sunday, 27th: Catch "Jazz by the Green" as The magnificent 'Epigone' closes the festival from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

FREE entry all weekend with festival food available throughout! There will also be a pub quiz and live music to enjoy.

We are hoping that the atmosphere will be absolutely electric here at The Chequered Skipper again this afternoon for our final Oundle Fringe summer session on the patio by the Green!

We are thrilled to be hosting an incredible soul singer as part of the Oundle Fringe Festival.

As you can see our garden will be buzzing with music and great company.

Even our resident peacock is taking a front-row seat to soak in the soulful vibes!

It’s set to be a fantastic afternoon here at The Chequered Skipper!

We are always thrilled to be hosting and supporting any part of the Oundle Fringe Oundle Fringe Festival.

We’ve got the perfect soundtrack lined up with some brilliant live jazz, making it the ideal way to spend your Sunday. As you can see the stage is all set up and ready to welcome you, and it looks like even our resident peacock is eager for the music to start! 🦚
