Meet Ann - she has volunteered with us for over 30 years and although she has hung up her apron after all that time waiting tables every Friday she continues to pop in 3 times a week to collect our dirty tea towels and brings them back all freshly laundered.
Thank you Ann

Meet Clare
She has volunteered with us since 1991 when we first opened. She is in every Saturday morning making sandwiches and even came in on Saturday despite it being her birthday!

Could You Be Our Next Chairperson?

The Macmillan Coffee and Gift Shop is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed volunteer to become our next Chairperson.

For over 30 years, our charity has been run by an amazing team of volunteers, raising funds to support the Cornhill Macmillan Centre at Perth Royal Infirmary. Every cup of coffee served, every gift purchased, and every fundraising event helps improve the experience of local people living with cancer and supports the care provided at the Centre.

As our current Chair steps down, we are looking for someone to lead our Board of Trustees and help guide the charity into its next chapter.

As Chairperson, you will:
Lead and support our Board of Trustees.
Chair regular Board meetings and help shape the charity's future.
Work closely with our dedicated volunteers and shop team.
Help ensure the charity is well governed and financially sustainable.
Act as an ambassador for the charity within the local community.

Who are we looking for?
You don't need to have been a Chair before. We are looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with people and bringing teams together.
Has good communication and leadership skills.
Can think strategically while supporting the day-to-day work of the charity.
Is passionate about supporting people affected by cancer in our local community.
Shares our values of kindness, respect, and teamwork.
Experience of charity governance or serving on a committee would be helpful, but enthusiasm and commitment are just as important.

Why Volunteer?
This is a rewarding opportunity to:
Make a genuine difference to people affected by cancer across Perth and Kinross.
Help shape the future of a much-loved local charity.
Work alongside a friendly, dedicated team of volunteers.
Use your skills and experience to support an organisation that has been serving our community for decades.
The role is voluntary, with attendance at regular Board meetings and occasional fundraising events.

If you would like to find out more, we'd love to hear from you. An informal conversation is welcomed before applying.

To express your interest or request an more information, please contact:

Together, we can continue making a real difference for local people and their families through the work of the Cornhill Macmillan Centre.
