Imported food can be produced to lower standards than we are legally allowed to produce. A salmonella outbreak has had a fatal consequence with many more in hospital. Why can’t our government wake up and back British farming.

Our first flax crop grown here at Cordon this year.

We are growing flax for the fibres which will eventually be used to make linen.

The flax has been pulled recently and is currently lying on the ground waiting for some sun and rain to help it ret. The flax will then be turned before being baled.

This is an exciting new opportunity for us and others in Scotland.
