The Tony Curran Memorial Shield requires a donation to a charity or cause of the sponsor’s choice, and Busy Bite have chosen to donate their sponsorship money to 🩷💚Lola’s Pool Party🩷💚

With Tony being such a popular and well-known player in the Perth pool community, we think that connection makes this a particularly appropriate way to honour his memory while helping another pool-related cause at the same time.

Bus'Y'Bite Cafe is a long-standing, family-run business based at Perth Bus Station, where Mary and Christine have built up a loyal following through friendly service, great-value food and a real community feel.

They are currently facing an uncertain future due to proposed redevelopment at the bus station, so we’re especially pleased to be able to use this sponsorship to give something back to a local business that has supported Perth for so many years.

We honestly don't know how to thank everyone enough. ❤️

The support we've had over the last few days has been unbelievable. Every message, share, comment and signature has given us a bit more hope, and we're so grateful to everyone who's taken the time to support us. After 26 years at the bus station, it means so much to know how many people care about keeping us here.

We also want to say a huge thank you to Morag Lindsay. You listened to our story, took the time to understand what this means to our family and our customers, and wrote such thoughtful articles. We're so grateful for the kindness you've shown us.

And another huge thank you to Richard Hancox for taking the photographs. You've both played such a big part in helping our story reach so many people, and we honestly can't thank you enough.

Our petition is now live! ❤️

Firstly, thank you to The Courier for covering our story, and thank you to everyone who has shared the article, commented, messaged us and shown their support. We honestly can't thank you enough.

After 26 years in Perth Bus Station, we've been told our lease won't be renewed after 2028 because of the proposed redevelopment.

We're not asking for the redevelopment to stop. We're simply asking to be included in the plans so we can continue running the café we've built over the last 26 years.

If you'd like to support us, we'd really appreciate you signing our petition and giving it a share. Every signature helps and shows how much support there is for keeping Bus'Y' Bite Café as part of Perth's future.

As we head into 2026, we just want to say a huge thank you to every single customer who has supported us over the past year - whether you popped in for a quick coffee, a catch-up, or made us part of your routine. It really does mean so much to us 🤍

We’re taking a short break over the holidays, so the café will be closed until Tuesday 6th January.
