There’ll be plenty of sparkling Christmassy atmosphere, and drinks on tap at the bar. So join us here for the perfect seasonal celebration with views across Penzance and Mount’s Bay.

It all starts when we welcome you with canapés and a glass of Champagne... 🥂 🍾

You can choose to have just a main, or two or three courses, and kids can enjoy a smaller main. Simply peruse our menu here and pick one from each course. You can go full traditional and enjoy roast turkey and all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding; or go for a vegan or fish main. And, of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas dinner without a prawn cocktail for starters.

Talk a walk up and down Market Jew Street with us, Penzance’s main shopping street, looking glorious in the sunshine.

Here are some top facts about Market Jew Street, as told by the font of everything that’s worth knowing around here:

- The name is the name is a corruption from the Cornish language ‘marghas Yow’, meaning ‘Thursday market’.

- The London Economic recently declared Penzance the best town for indie shopping in the UK, calling it ‘an absolute gem’ that ‘perhaps owing to it’s independent pirate spirit, Penzance’s high street is still standing strong,’ and ‘it seems to be getting better and better.’

- the iconic Market House at the top of the street, with its distinctive dome and columns, was completed in 1838. It’s now community owned and the Penzance Regeneration Company is bringing it back to life and opening next year:

- The statue in front is of Humphry Davy, Penzance’s most famous son. A chemist and inventor of the Davy lamp, he’s also remembered for isolating several elements, such as potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium, for the first time.
