📢A Message to Everyone Who Shared Our Recent Post

Firstly, thank you all so much for the overwhelming support and the awareness that’s been raised. It means a lot to us and to other local businesses.

However, we want to address an unfortunate outcome: some roofing companies have been unfairly affected by the post—particularly the one pictured, as well as others with similar names. These businesses have been review bombed, and we want to make it clear that this was never our intention.

At this time, it’s unclear whether the individual in the photo works or ever worked for the business shown, and several unrelated companies—some in entirely different areas—have been wrongly targeted.

🙏We kindly ask that anyone who left negative reviews on Google or Facebook for those businesses please remove them. These are genuine companies that had no involvement in what happened.

Once again, thank you all for standing with us and helping to call out unacceptable behaviour.

🚨 WARNING TO LOCAL BUSINESSES 🚨

Tonight, we had an extremely troubling incident in our restaurant that we feel all local businesses should be aware of.

A group of individuals came in, ate all their food, and then claimed it was "disgusting" and that they felt sick—after finishing everything. They then attempted to walk out without paying. When our staff confronted them, they became aggressive, refused to pay, and even threatened violence with one of our 16-year-old waitresses.

This is completely unacceptable behaviour.

To make matters worse, we've now learned they pulled a similar stunt yesterday at The Boatshed, walking out on £60 worth of drinks.

And if that wasn’t bold enough—they had the audacity to send someone back into our restaurant later to ask for their forgotten socks, despite not paying their bill or apologising for their behaviour. Needless to say, we didn’t have them—and still haven't received payment.

These individuals are deliberately targeting small businesses, trying to intimidate staff and avoid paying.

📢 Please be alert and share this post to warn other local venues.
No one deserves to be treated like this while just doing their job.
