Something we are incredibly fortunate and proud of is the local community we serve.
Each year we like to give something back, whether that be a local team, charity or organisation who requires support.
This year we are incredibly proud to support a very talented, young Penwortham athlete and his family.
Jack is a 15 year old who has lived Penwortham all his life, he went to St Teresas primary school and is currently in Year 10 at All Hallows HS.
He is a member Preston Swimming Club and has competed locally and regionally since the age of 9. He joined Preston Harriers 3 years ago and quickly progressed to a regional and national level runner at cross country (including English Schools National Cross-Country finals), he has travelled across the country representing Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire in road relays and middle-distance track events.
He became involved with Great Britain Pentathlon and started to compete in a sport called Biathle which combines both swimming and running into a single event. Jack has qualified to represent Team GB at the European and World Championships for the past 2 years and has had remarkable success.
2024 (Maderia) Under 15s – Qualified as GB No 8, but came away with an Individual Bronze Medal and a team Gold.
2024 (Egypt, World Championships), Qualified, however GB decided not to send a team due to the political unrest in the region at the time.
2025 (Turkey) Under 17s – Qualified as GB No 3, finished 4th as an individual, Team Silver, and Mixed Medley Relay bronze.
Upcoming - European Championships Maderia 23rd and 24th June
Competing in the U17s, qualified as GB No 1, so will compete in both the individual and mixed relay events.
Financial contributions/support will go towards the costs for Jack’s upcoming trip to Maderia. Sadly, we receive no funding from governing bodies so the family have to support
