We would like to explain how deliveries work when customers order from us through Uber Eats.
Our restaurant does not employ its own delivery drivers. Uber Eats arranges the drivers who collect and deliver the orders. Once an order is accepted, we prepare all the food so it is fresh and ready for collection.
Unfortunately, we have recently experienced delivery problems that were outside our control. In one case, a driver accepted an order but did not collect it. In another case last week, an order contained both pizza and pasta. The driver collected the pizza but accidentally left the pasta behind. We immediately phoned and asked him to return for it, but he did not come back.
The customer later reported receiving none of the order, while the driver stated that the pizza had been delivered. We cannot confirm exactly what happened after the driver left our restaurant. What we do know is that the full order was prepared and we tried to resolve the missing item immediately.
If a driver cancels, fails to collect the complete order or does not deliver it correctly, we have no way to complete the delivery ourselves. Driver availability, delivery tracking and refunds are managed by Uber Eats.
We understand how upsetting it is when an order does not arrive correctly. Every customer and every order is equally important to us, and we work hard to prepare everything properly and on time.
